Sigh. Another day, another bug. Seems that writing scripts for my theme meant that I was missing some issues that occur if you run Blog Calendar on a standard WebAPP install. So, here is the latest fix for your Blogging pleasure: Blog Calendar Mod
Blog Calendar R2b (Fix)
Darn, I hate it when I miss simple issues. Two more bug fixes in this release. First, the wrong year was being passed when pulling articles. The second one was that I wasn’t properly translating 2 digit years passed as arguments.
Moved Over to Userbars.org
Well, it appears that userbars.com isn’t on-line anymore. 🙁 So, I’ve moved my Userbars over to www.userbars.org. You can view my, limited, userbar collection there as well. If you’re looking for a userbar, I’m more then willing to help out (just IM me or add a comment here).

Blog Mod Updated to R2a
Oops! I had a minor bug in the current month display. A bad assumption on my part that was easily corrected. You can download the lastest version from here. If you are running R2, you just need to update the blogcal.cgi file.

Migrated Site to WebAPP NE
Well, after spending a few months adding back in my slide show and calendar, I’ve converted my site to WebAPP NE. Please let me know if anything doesn’t work quite right. My main reason to convert to WebAPP was to not have to start from scratch in writing my own comments system.
Blog Calendar Release 2
I’ve updated the Blog Calendar Mod to revision 2. It includes the two calendar option and fixes some bugs I found while cleaning up the code.
BSU Won!
Sorry if you aren’t from Boise or a football fan, but Boise State University won the Fiesta Bowl game today against Oklahoma University. Final score was 42 to 41 in overtime. It was a hell of a nail biter and the best football game I’ve watched! Go BSU!

More BlogCal Fun
JackDeth recommended a two calendar blog, and it was a note worthy challenge. I still need to package it up, but there are now two calendars at your disposal. If nothing else, I was able to clean the code up a bit and make it a bit more modular. So, anything else?

Working on re-creating my Blog Calendar as a Mod for WebAPP NE. I think I have the MOD fleshed out, but I may have a slight problem. It doesn't appear that WebAPP can display articles based on date. 🙁 Maybe I should be creating a Blog module. 😃
WebAPP Back-end
I’ve changed out my back-end Perl scripts using WebAPP — Web Automated Perl Portal System. The task of writing my own scripts to allow comments, article management, and all the security around them seemed more effort then I had time.
Photosynth
I ran across this cool technology today from Microsoft Live Labs called Photosynth. Basically, this software allows you to view a collection of photographs in using a 3D browser. They have a Tech Preview that completely blew me away.
Fun With Images
I finally got around to updating the top of the site with a nice picture. It is one of a number of pictures I took during my business trip to Singapore last year. I liked the colors in the harbor along with the interesting skyline.
RSS Update
Okay, you probably won’t see any differences, but my blog is now a valid RSS feed. Okay, may not seem by much, but I was actually trying to get it to work in IE7. If you have IE7, or other reader that recognizes the <categories> tag, you should see my categories as well.
In My Head
I uploaded a new song to my ACID Planet Site today called In My Head. Something I started on the plane today to pass away the time. I wanted to put together something that felt like things weren’t right — like something is in my head, needing to get out. Interestingly, this isn’t at all how I was feeling, just what I musically wanted to mix together. Enjoy.

I added a new song to my ACID Planet site last Tuesday called Hate You Again. It is my submission to the Distorted Reality Contest. I really liked the vocals and tried to use them to drive the song. The “hate you again” stood out to me and I used it to frame the mix. Enjoy. With the demise of AC
Updated ACID Planet Picture
Well, I didn’t add any new songs, but I did add a new image to my ACID Planet site. I used a photo I took when camping a few years back. I played around with filters and special effects in Microsoft Digital Image Suite to set the mood I was looking for. I think it came out pretty nicely.
Croak
Okay, was playing around with ACID loops again. I've added another song to my ACID Planet site called Croak. This time, I’m playing with different sounds and beats to get a unique feel. Again, this one isn’t very long, so enjoy!
Speed Me Up
I added a new song to my ACID Planet site called Speed Me Up. I took an Asian melody and threw various electronic and heavy riffs at it. Not very long, unlike my earlier attempts, so give it a play!
Updated My Geocities Site
I updated my GeoCities Imagination web site the other day to add a link to this site. I’m really disappointed with GeoCities since Yahoo! picked it up. Ever since they dropped ftp, making it a pain to update it, I haven’t added any content. Their update tools aren’t bad, just a pain.
