It’s been some time since I moved my music over to Myspace after the reboot of Acid Planet. I’ve never been happy with it and have looked for alternatives on and off again. I ran across another offering called Audio.com and decided to give it a try.
I got around to logging into Myspace again today. I never really used it in its original incarnation. Truth be told, I wanted to know what it was before when my daughter signed up for an account. Although I’ve known that it was more of sharing space for music now, I hadn’t spent much time with it. That changed today.
Well, after I broke one of the strings on my guitar trying to reattach the amp connector, I decided it would be a good time to restring it. I hadn’t played it in so long that it wasn’t in tune anyway. Since the family isn’t home, I’m pretty free to sing and not get heckled too much. The dogs still growled a bit at me.
Ran across this interesting site in my feeds and thought I’d share. Getty Images has combined their stock images with their audio stock to create what they call Moodstreams. They are billing it as a brainstorming tool, remember they are trying to sell photography and audio. The brainstorming concept sounded interesting, but I was skeptical. I gave it a try and it is actually pretty interesting.
Well, the wife received a Pixie Power Disney mix-stick for Christmas this year. I know, it is marketed for kids, but it an interesting shuffle like MP3 player. Yeah, no screen, but with a 1GB of flash RAM, expandable with an SD card, it appeared to be a great little player. That is, if you can get the music on it to play!
I uploaded a new song to my ACID Planet Site today called In My Head. Something I started on the plane today to pass away the time. I wanted to put together something that felt like things weren’t right — like something is in my head, needing to get out. Interestingly, this isn’t at all how I was feeling, just what I musically wanted to mix together. Enjoy.
