Working on re-creating my Blog Calendar as a Mod for WebAPP NE. I think I have the MOD fleshed out, but I may have a slight problem. It doesn't appear that WebAPP can display articles based on date. 🙁
Maybe I should be creating a Blog module. 😃

How about modifying the existing code and setting up a "Future Article" mod? this would submit articles to the site at a set date/time.
We were actually starting prelimary discussion for this feature... but it wont happen anytime soon...
Good idea. An easy fix would be just allowing a date to be entered (instead of just taking the posted date). Then configuring an option to only display articles that have reached the current date. No change in DB and you can use the existing approval to ensure it isn't abused.
Or you could set a con job which runs a file every night and checks the "awaiting articles" to see which ones dates are up for posting...
this way you post an article, it sits in a different data file and then it gets posted to the site afterwards...
would save alot of work adding in date and time checking in the current code...
Although with your blog calendar, it ooks like you came up with a way to display only specific posts by date already 😃 a handy thing I am sure :)
Only problem would be that not everyone has cron available to them. What I've seen in other Blogging scripts is they just pre-date the script and ignore those posts until the date has passed. Some make this configurable. That might be a bit hard as a Mod, but certainly doable.
